The Pink Tie Party Tuesday night was a spectacular and beautiful sold-out event at the Mayflower. It celebrates the cherry blossoms. The event was chef star studded with Chef Roy Yamaguchi from Hawaii and Chef Jose Andres with a special appearance of Oprah’s and Lady Gaga’s Chef Art Smith.

DC’s first fresh olive oil and balsamic vinegar specialty store opened March 18th in Capitol Hill’s Eastern Market neighborhood. Sapore, Italian for “taste” or “flavor”, will feature 30 types of single varietal and flavor infused extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars plus gourmet pastas, olives, sea salts, spice blends, accessories and cookbooks.
