Hillary-Anne Crosby and Lauren Connolly are heading to Chicago next month, but it isn’t your average trip. The two friends are departing from Austin and covering the 1,425-mile route on their bicycles. The tour will involve stopping at various cities along the way, meeting up with female cyclists at local bike shops and interviewing [...]

After noticing a bit of winter weight gain that wasn’t going away with my regular workouts and ‘seventy percent’ healthy eating, I wanted to look into some local companies that offer solutions. Warm smiles and an encouraging “Go play!” greeted me at the door to Ballet Austin‘s annual GetFit! event. Hundreds of visitors, old and young, roamed the halls and popped into studios to take part in a completely free day of fitness and healthy living promotion.

It’s a new year and everywhere you go, you see the motto, “New Year, New You.” Gyms are full of swarms of people waiting in line for machines at this time of the year. You, however, don’t have to limit yourself to these boring, repetitive machines. [...]

I’ve been really looking forward to trying the new CYC Fitness Studio and finally found some time pre-holiday to slip in and check out my first class, which was complimentary!
