Miss A Columnist

Shannon Harlow was born on a military base out of state, but still considers herself a Dallas native. Shannon is the oldest of 3 sisters and always enjoyed her role as “the other mommy” to her little sisters. She began babysitting at the age of 9 and loved being around children and supporting families at an early age. After graduating with a degree in Communications, Shannon spent nearly a decade working in radio promotions, the later five years for The Dallas Cowboys Radio Network. Shannon went on to spend next phase of her professional life employed in promotional marketing for a well known Dallas advertising agency, working with high-profile companies such as General Motors, Chrysler/Jeep, Verizon, Sprint and many more. It was in 2007 that Shannon went from traveling the country, working 10 hour days to discovering that she was expecting TWINS!

During her nearly 38 week pregnancy with twin boys, she clearly recalls wishing there was someone to turn to for help in preparing for my future babies. Between work and sleep, there was little time to plan, organize, nest and take care of all the necessities. After delivering her two big, healthy baby boys, Shannon decided that her family needed her attention more than her office so she decided to take some time to be a mom. The former workaholic found motherhood to be her toughest role yet, but one she was proud to have. Never one to sit still for too long, Shannon joined the board of her local Mother of Multiples club, where she enjoyed mentoring other future multiple moms. It was here, where she really found the passion and the drive to support the expecting moms. As soon as she heard the term “baby planner”, she put it all together and knew this was to be her future.

Pregnancy is a wonderfully special time in the life of a family and every minute of it should be treasured. Shannon’s plan is to maintain tranquility and take the burdens of preparing for little ones so that the expectant mother can relax, enjoy her pregnancy and remain stress free. It is her sincerest desire to create an environment in which the expectant mother can focus solely on her gestational needs for a healthier pregnancy and baby. Each family is unique and their individual goals and lifestyle will be taken into account at each and every step to ensure they have the best nursery, gear and programs to suit their needs.
