Miss A Columnist

Sophie Davies is a Brit who worked as a PR director and events coordinator in London with a portfolio of international brands for over a decade, before deciding to leave the hectic world of fashion for a more balanced lifestyle and raise a family in the Bay Area. She is now raising a son and daughter with her husband in Marin County whilst freelance writing, PR consulting, and updating her lifestyle blog called The Marin Scoop. Sophie loves to get out with her family and discover new places, so her blog began as a newsletter for local moms looking for fun activities and events to do with their kids around the Bay Area. The Marin Scoop has evolved into a lifestyle blog that covers the topics she is passionate about, which include; design, home decor, entertaining, fashion, as well as local family friendly activities and events. She also researches and writes articles about local business owners, in particular aspiring “momtrepreneurs” offering a new and interesting service or product line.
Enjoying good food is paramount in her household so she enjoys writing local restaurant reviews from a parent’s point of view, or from a date night perspective.
She also loves photography and social media and can be found pinning on Pinterest or creating pictures on Instagram whenever she finds a rare moment for down-time. If you have a San Francisco charity or cultural event, restaurant, boutique, spa, or salon you would like covered on Miss A, please contact Sophia at sophialdavies@gmail.com.
