 Mycah Kirkland is an Atlanta-based beauty and lifestyle writer. Originally from the Midwest, Kirkland spent her coming-of-age years experiencing the wonders of Brooklyn in the late nineties before heading South. Having held the beauty of many in her hands literally as a professional makeup artist, Mycah decided to further her skill set by pursuing her license in Aesthetics in 2009. What started off as a mission to offer a greater range of services to existing makeup clients, turned into a love affair with skin. A Georgia licensed Aesthetician, Kirkland holds advanced certifications in medical aesthetics, advanced skin sciences and advanced aesthetic techniques. While still an aesthetics student, Kirkland's first article on sun care and ethnic skin was published in Zakar, an online life-coaching magazine. Captivated by the ability to spread beauty using the power of the written word, Kirkland now specializes in aesthetic writing and beauty education. She has written web copy, commercial scripts and marketing materials for physicians and aesthetic businesses.
