Miss A Columnist

Michelle James is a free-lance photographer based in NYC whose passions include music, writing, fashion and design. Being the daughter of a military officer afforded Michelle the chance to live in and visit many locales and lifestyles including 5 years in Panama. After graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Political Science degree and a minor in Spanish, she spent the next 10 years living in many new and exciting places as the wife of a MLB player. She was especially fond of Vancouver, British Columbia and Puerto Rico. Settling in Southern California 15 years ago gave Michelle the chance to pursue her love of singing/songwriting, traveling and to hone her photographic skills as the staff photographer at Quiksilver/Roxy. Michelle fulfilled a life time dream in the summer of 2010 when she switched coasts and made the West Village her new home. As you can see from her experience she loves an adventure and exploring new places. You can check out her latest as she explores the diverse neighborhoods and boroughs that all make NYC the “Big Apple”.
