A South Carolina girl at heart, Crystal Zhao moved to Austin when she started attending the University of Texas at Austin. She is currently a senior majoring in Government and Communication Studies with a minor in Rhetoric & Writing. In addition to pursuing a life of law and public policy, Crystal also makes sure to set aside time to do what she loves - exploring and writing. She’s always after something new in the blogosphere, local food, self-improvement books, and fitness activities. She is very passionate about living and learning and sees a world full of adventures, knowledge, and possibilities. Believing that each moment in life has a unique lesson to teach, she is constantly pursuing new experiences and getting to know people from all walks of her life. And with a desire to show others all that the world has to offer, Crystal shares her experiences through her writing and hopes that it will encourage others to pursue more opportunities to learn as well. For Gandhi once said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
