Miss A Columnist

Alyson Murphy left her hometown of Charleston, SC in 2005 to pursue a BA in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina, but the charm of the city lured her back after graduation. Her altruistic nature lead her to join the volunteer committee for Charitable Society of Charleston helping to fulfill her deep rooted desire to give back to her community. In July Alyson was awarded member of the year and was promoted to the board as the public relations director. Alyson is currently studying to become an etiquette consultant. In the mean time she created a blog Highlifeinthelowcountry.com intended to help share the challenging yet remarkable season of a 25-year-old. You can see how Alyson and her friends learn to embrace and celebrate the opportunities and adventures that lay before them. Adventures that Alyson says make growing up here in the low country such a unique and desirable place to live. If you have a Charleston charity or cultural event, restaurant, boutique, spa, or salon you would like covered on Miss A, please contact Alyson at aly.murphy09@gmail.com.
