Amanda Belo is a communications professional living in Chicago by way of North Carolina (GO HEELS!). Her heart will always belong to the East Coast. In addition to being passionate about the arts, culture, travel, food, and social good, Amanda has always loved to write and tell compelling stories. Amanda finds something new about Chicago every day and she cannot wait to explore more about the city and Chicagoans as a writer for Miss A. She earned her bachelor's degree in dance, with a minor in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and her master's degree in public relations and advertising from DePaul University.

In Her Shoes Foundation’s 7th Annual Beach Party in Chicago

Join the In Her Shoes Foundation for the 7th Annual Kick Off Your Shoes charity beach party on June 3, 2015 at Caffe Oliva. Proceeds from the event will benefit their Guatelmala Build a School Project. The initiative will help raise funds for Hug It Forward, a grass-roots organization that facilitates education and awareness by empowering communities to build bottle schools – schools built using “eco-bricks,” which are plastic bottles stuffed with inorganic trash.

Guests will enjoy complimentary cocktails from FENI; summer appetizers; Evolve pop-up summer shop with personal stylist Jessi Sheehan; a live body painting installation by nationally recognized makeup artist, Kate Johnson; lively music and more!

This event is 21 and over. Tropical beach attire encouraged.
