This unfortunate scenario caught the attention of TNDC who created a task force in order to better food choices in the neighborhood. TNDC has been reaching out to local storeowners, including Fadhl Fadhl Radman, owner of Radman Produce Market. Radman was delighted about the healthy improvement opportunity, “I’m so pleased that with the support of the coalition I can contribute to improve health for my customers and still run a successful business.” TNDC awarded Fadhl Radman with the Bro. Kelly Cullen Award for his very healthy Radman’s Produce Market. Radman revamped his produce market to provide a wider variety of healthy fruits, vegetables, and meats. “Having the collation help me transform my store to include a wider variety of fresh produce and meats has become a real dream come true.”
Guests enjoyed the musical renditions of the Synchronicity Strings and danced the night away to the mixes of DJ King Most. And in good old birthday tradition the TNDC sang happy birthday along with the cast of the Beach Blanket Babylon cast.
