“We climb for those fighting for air. We climb for our friends and loved ones who suffer from lung cancer, the leading cancer killer.” On May 30, individuals and teams will gather at the Frost Bank Tower for the Fight For Air Climb. This annual event is one of the most unique fundraisers that the American Lung Association holds.
The event takes place in more than 60 cities across the state. Last year, the climbs raised more than $7 million to help provide lifesaving education, research and advocacy to beat lung disease and find a cure.
The event involves going up the 31 floors (660 steps) of the Frost Bank Tower, before heading back down for interactive booths, food, music and fun. Want to practice for the big day? There will be practice climbs leading up to the big day at Mt. Bonnell every Saturday at 8 a.m.
