Lesley Haenny is the Seattle Editor for Miss A. She is an Air Force wife now living in the Seattle area. Prior to living in Seattle, Lesley spent 7 years in Washington, DC, working as a Congressional liaison. She grew up in a small, mountain town in Southern California, sandwiched between an older sister and a younger brother. Her two hard working parents taught her to always go for the clearance rack, bring your lunch everyday, work hard for what you have, and always take the opportunity to travel and play outside. Lesley has been actively involved in various charities such as the Animal Resource Foundation, Komen For the Cure, Prevent Cancer Foundation, American Diabetes Association and the Race for Hope (benefitting the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure).

Beer For A Cause To Benefit Full Life Care

On Thursday, April 23, 2015, Aston Manor will host Beer For A Cause, benefiting Full Life Care.

Reserve your Georgetown Brewery-sponsored commemorative mug now to enjoy the many selections of local brews. Beers on tap will include Georgetown Brewing Company, Hilliard’s Beer, Mac and Jack’s, Hale’s Ales and Number Six Cider.   There will also be a raffle giving away some amazing prizes such as an Oregon Coast getaway, sports package and so much more!

Full Life helps adults of all ages with chronic illnesses, and physical or developmental disabilities. They are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving people’s lives and supporting caregivers. Since the 1970s, they have helped thousands of individuals preserve their dignity and avoid living in a nursing home or in isolation. Full Life is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for frail elders and people with chronic or terminal illnesses and disabilities. They respect the dignity of their participants and provide for them with care and compassion. They are committed, through their program of health and social services, to the independence and well-being of all participants and to providing respite for caregivers.
