Dena Miller is the Dallas Editor for Miss A. She has been described by Style Network as a "Queen Bee". Formerly a glam rock scene Diva, Dena is now a Socialite on the Dallas philanthropy scene, specializing in Polo events that benefit women's and children's causes.

While never forgetting her small town roots from a Midwestern farming community in rural Missouri, she’s fit right in the “Big D” since coming here in 1984. After 11 years of promoting the music scene, hobnobbing with the most popular bands from coast to coast, she switched gears after meeting her husband at the first Polo match she ever attended. Always one for excitement, Polo became her new rock n roll.
With her marriage and new found passion for polo, came Philanthropy. Miller founded the Ladies Polo Auxiliary of Texas in 2005 with the goal of promoting the Sport of Kings in north Texas via charity events for causes that are close to her heart. To date the LPA has raised over $500,000 for causes such as domestic violence, children with serious medical needs, therapeutic horsemanship, the Polo Training Foundation, children’s advocacy and food drives for north Texas food Bank. When not working on her own events she is attending Charity luncheons and balls as well as volunteering at golf tournaments and Special Olympics events. She is a member of the USPA Equine Welfare committee and on Board of Dress For Succes Dallas.

Writing has been a lifetime passion of Dena’s. Besides working on a book that proceeds will benefit domestic violence organizations, and writing for two national polo magazines, is a frequent contributor to Dallas area publications, winning Best Contributor Award from Dallas Morning News Neighborsgo, she is co-authoring a book on the phenomenon of cyber bullying by adult women, referred to as Cyber Harrassment.

On March 26, 2015, event chair Sharon Popham announced the judges for the 27th annual Mad Hatter’s Tea, April in Paris, at a reception hosted in the home of Paula and Alan Mann.   Hats are judged in different categories and winners are announced at the fashion show and strut the runway. Included in the lineup of judges this year are: Regen Horchow Fearon, founder of the Institute for Interesting People; Lucy Billingsly, Dallas developer extraordinaire; Matilda Louree, former Arboretum board member and docent; Brenda Bogart, artist and former interior designer for Trish Wilson; Kim Harmon Gatlin, best-selling author of Good Christian Bitches; Cynthia Smoot, marketer and social blogger; Megan McDonald, Manager of Saint Laurent Boutique in Highland Park Village; and Jane Rozelle, Society Editor of PaperCity Magazine. They will face the overwhelming task of picking the winners in the following categories: Best of Show, Botanical, Most Elegant, Most Outlandish, Most True to Theme, Most Whimsical, and People’s Choice.  

This fabulous and fun party has been an ongoing fundraising event sponsored by the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Monies raised grow and maintain A Woman’s Garden, a major garden at the Dallas Arboretum. Sherwood Wagner is the Honorary Chair and Marena Gault serves as President of the Woman’s Council. FOX4 News Anchor Clarice Tinsley is the Celebrity Chair. The event includes a champagne reception in Ginsburg Plaza, professionally staged and choreographed fashion presentation produced by the inimitable Jan Strimple, and followed by a seated luncheon. The fashion show will feature the creations of Betty Reiter, Canary, Nardos Imam, and V.O.D. A custom-designed piece of jewelry from David Lee Holland Fine Jewelry will be auctioned. David Lee Holland Fine Jewelry is the brainchild of designers David Lee Holland and Yanni Kyriazis who create botanically-themed jewelry.
