Lesley Haenny is the Seattle Editor for Miss A. She is an Air Force wife now living in the Seattle area. Prior to living in Seattle, Lesley spent 7 years in Washington, DC, working as a Congressional liaison. She grew up in a small, mountain town in Southern California, sandwiched between an older sister and a younger brother. Her two hard working parents taught her to always go for the clearance rack, bring your lunch everyday, work hard for what you have, and always take the opportunity to travel and play outside. Lesley has been actively involved in various charities such as the Animal Resource Foundation, Komen For the Cure, Prevent Cancer Foundation, American Diabetes Association and the Race for Hope (benefitting the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure).

Let’s Build A Home Fundraiser At Osteria Rigoletto In Seattle For Ladybug House

On Thursday, March 26, 2015, Osteria Rigoletto will host, Let’s Build A Home, a fundraiser for the Ladybug House.

The evening will include appetizers, wine, music and mingling, a silent auction, a raffle and a presentation educating guests on the latest Ladybug House efforts.

Founded by Suzanne Gwynn, a critical care nurse, Ladybug House is an official 501(c)(3) aiming to build and operate a freestanding, community-based palliative care home in Seattle. They will offer end-of-life care to children and young adults with life-limiting illnesses and family respite for rest and renewal from the daily demands of caring for a very ill child. They are striving to create a safe space full of love and respect where parents, siblings and friends will celebrate every day, every moment, and every life together.
