Sarah Glenn Smith began her career in New York City as an actress. Her first professional job was a tour show with the National Stage Company traveling the United States for 4 months.

Upon completion of the show, she chose to experience college and a new creativity in a southern atmosphere, so she started her very serious studies at the College of Charleston. Throughout her college career, Sarah appeared in various community theater productions with Charleston Stage Company and Footlight Players.

Off stage, Sarah studied international business and spanish. Post college she returned to her dear New York. For the next 8 years, she worked in real estate development, sales, marketing and advertising.

The wealth of her experience is in project direction and management where she consulted architects and contractors designing and developing residential projects throughout New York City. She lead cross-capability teams in research of marketing design trends and in creation of strategic marketing campaigns and sales programs. She brought these skills to G2 Brand & Design where she acted as a principal in their first real estate advertising arm.

Born in Charleston, SC, Sarah returned with her husband and 2 young sons in 2014 where she joined the Dysautonomia Advocacy Foundation board as president. Sarah lives in West Ashley where she teaches pilates part-time. Sarah enjoys running, flagging catalogs and of course writing.

Commonwealth Cares Foundation and South Carolina-based band, NEEDTOBREATHE, have once again joined forces to host the 3rd annual NeedToBreathe Classic benefiting Palmetto Medical Initiative (PMI). PMI is a non-profit organization that is revolutionizing medical intervention for impoverished nations by improving long term and sustainable medical relief.  After a post surfing conversation, Matt Alexander and Michael O’Neal were inspired to launch an organization that could take ministry-led global initiatives to a needed next step by managing larger scale investments, such as creating and managing medical facilities. The last two Classics have earned a combined $220,000.
