Red Cross month is here. The Red Cross was started by Clara Barton and a group of her acquaintances in May of 1881. The humanitarian organization is known for “preventing and relieving suffering, here at home, and around the world.”  The Red Cross specializes in five different areas including: disaster relief, supporting America’s military families, lifesaving blood, health and safety services, and international services. The organization has provided care and assistance for many years around the world.
