Feelin’ the sudden urge to shake what your mama gave you? Join Beats for Boobs for an action packed event that will get your whole body moving for a great cause.

Now entering its eleventh year, Beats for Boobs is hosting a fun-filled night of music, fashion, live performances, and culinary delights. So feel free to ditch the fears of making a fashion faux pas by rocking that animal-print hiding in your closet and throw on your favorite party pants, and join Beats for Boobs in honoring and remembering those impacted by breast cancer.

Beats for Boobs (b::b) is a volunteer organization that celebrates art, fashion, food, music, and education whose purpose is to raise awareness and funds for local breast cancer services organizations. According to the b::b, “We grant financial support to local breast cancer organizations that offer direct services to survivors and people battling breast cancer or organizations that promote prevention. We inspire greater awareness, greater activism and increased donations for the breast cancer community through our creative and collaborative signature event where we remember and celebrate life.”

In 2010, Breast Cancer Emergency Fund (BCEF) became a fiscal sponsor for Beats for Boobs’ leading the way for the organization to host similar events in cities such as San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles. BCEF has been the only Bay Area organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to low-income women and men battling breast cancer. According to BCEF, “To date we have delivered over $2,000,000 in quick compassionate care to help reduce financial hardship, improve quality of life and enable people focus on their health and their families.”

Since it’s start Beats for Boobs has granted more than $200,000 to the breast cancer community. Their goal for this year’s event is to donate $50,000 to it’s four beneficiaries: Breast Cancer Emergency Fund, Breast Cancer Fund, Shanti’s Margot Murphy Breast Cancer Program, and Women’s Cancer Resource Center.
