Every day, individuals work hard in order to make college affordable and ensure that young students can excel in higher education. On Thursday, January 29, 2015, you can attend the uAspire Bay Area First One Awards Celebration and honor businesses and leaders who have helped make college affordable and accessible to youth throughout San Francisco.
The event aims to highlight “the transformative power of higher education to propel individuals and families towards lives of opportunity.” Honorees include Nancy Lue, Lisa Villareal, and Jose Hernandez, all of whom have dedicated immense amounts of effort in helping uAspire achieve their goals.
Transportation to the event can be provided by Lyft, who will donate $5 to uAspire for each new rider who takes Lyft to or from the First One Awards. For your added benefit, Lyft also offers a $10 discount to new users.
Event sponsors include Seagate, Bank of America, The San Francisco Foundation, and The Silicon Valley Community Foundation. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
