Sugar Plum Fairy Tea At The Ritz-Carlton Boston

Looking for something to do with the princess in your life? The Sugar Plum Tea at the Ritz Carlton is the perfect way to celebrate the Holiday season.

Located in the Washington Hamilton Wing, the Tea is turned into a winter wonderland with mini sandwiches, desserts and cookie decorating tables. Guests get to meet and take pictures with the Nutcracker Bear, the Nutcracker himself and the Sugar Plum Fairy- t from across the street at the Boston Opera House.

The tea is the perfect place to go before the 1 p.m. matinee of the Nutcracker or as a stand alone Holiday tradition.

The best part of the event? My daughter and her friends made ornaments at a craft table for homeless children in the area. The table was  sponsored by Catching Joy, a Massachusetts based charity that takes a different approach to charitable giving.

Catching Joy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes volunteerism beginning with young children and their families. They organize hands-on activities that kids can do to let them feel the joy of giving. They guide children to use their skills and talents and empower them to make a positive change in the world. Their goal is to expose children to various charitable causes because they are all important, but families can participate in whichever events they choose. In turn, the world may recognize and appreciate that young children, with their goodness, energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and idealism can make a difference.
