The Chicago Loop Alliance Foundation welcomed more than 500 guests, including prominent business owners and civic leaders, for Illumination 2014, its 10th annual gala held at the Palmer House Hilton on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014. The organization develops, supports and promotes artistic, cultural and public events that benefit businesses, individuals and stakeholders within State Street Special Service Area #1 and the greater service area of Chicago Loop Alliance.
Guests enjoyed an elegant black tie event that began with a cocktail reception, live music from the Corbin Andrick Quartet and a performance by ABJ Ray of Hope Youth Ensemble. Chicago Loop Alliance Board Chairman Martin Stern presented the 2014 Illumination Award to 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly in honor of his civic and community service for Chicago Loop-area businesses, residents and visitors, and continued support of Chicago Loop Alliance programming. After a lavish four-course dinner featuring performances from House of Frog, the fun continued into the evening as guests filled the dance floor for live music by Michael Lerich + His Orchestra and enjoyed a specialty Dessert Lounge.
