Meera Rajagopalan is the Austin Editor for Miss A. A proud Longhorn, Meera earned her journalism degree from UT. Some of her hobbies include event planning, writing and baking. She loves trying new recipes and experimenting with food. Her latest creation was Pistachio Fudge. A tech nerd at heart, Meera loves cool iPhone apps and geeking out with friends about social media trends. Aside from the tech stuff, Meera also enjoys discovering new fonts. There’s something about finding the perfect font to help enhance titles. Besides her hobbies, Meera loves free stuff. So far besides tons of samples, she’s won concert tickets, movie passes (compliments of Do512) and a cooking class.

Elf: The Musical At Austin’s Long Center

“The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” Wise words from a (newer) holiday classic, Elf. Now,Elf: The Musical makes its way to Austin and the Long Center for a three-day run.

Elf tells the story of Buddy, an orphaned boy who makes his way to the North Pole as a baby. Years later, he travels back to New York City to meet his dad and help the Big Apple discover the true meaning of Christmas.

This production of Elf is extra special for Austinites because local actress, Marie Lemon  will join the ensemble. Lemon has performed in TexArts, Zach Theatre, and SummerStock Austin productions. This musical theatre triple-threat” joins the cast for its second national tour.
