Enjoy a fun night out while contributing to development projects worldwide by coming out to the Engineers Without Borders SFari fundraiser on Thursday, November 13, 2014.
The event will feature a silent auction, raffle prizes and the opportunity to network with current members of Engineers Without Borders to learn more about projects and the organization. Live music and a bar will also be present for the enjoyment of all guests.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the 7 project teams in EWB-SF. The projects involve sustainable developments in Haiti, Honduras, Fiji, Nicaragua, Tanzania, and Kenya. Proceeds will also benefit EWB-SFP’s work at the local level, which involves developing simple engineering solutions with the Appropriate Technology Design Team (ATDT).
The San Francisco Chapter of Engineers Without Borders was founded in 2004. The organization’s mission supports community-driven development programs worldwide through the design and implementation of sustainable engineering projects, while fostering responsible leadership. The organization currently operates in Fiji, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Kenya, and Tanzania to deliver necessities such as clean water, clean energy, and sustainable agriculture, providing a tangible difference to many communities worldwide.
