Jerusalem House recently held its highly anticipated 15thannual Halloween party, “Traveling Through Time,” on Saturday, October 25 from 7 p.m. to midnight at W Atlanta – Midtown. The organization is Atlanta’s oldest and largest provider of permanent housing for Atlanta’s low-income and homeless individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Nearly 100 children live in Jerusalem House programs. The nonprofit provide these children with the tools they need to succeed in everyday life – like stable housing, tutoring, and school supplies.
Each year, their Halloween fundraising event attracts hundreds of costumed guests and is the largest fundraiser for this charity. This year was no different. Partygoers enjoyed light bites and cocktails provided by Tito’s Homemade Vodka while dancing the night away to beats by DJ Bill Berdeaux. Keeping with tradition, the bash featured a live costume parade/contest with the chance for guests to strut their stuff for a panel of celebrity judges. This year’s judges included Jovita Moore, WSB-TV; Adam Gates, NakedHealthy; Vincent Martinez, Fashionado; Trinity K. Bonet, RuPaul’s Drag Race and Mitchell Anderson, MetroFresh Owner.
“The Jerusalem House Halloween Party once again proved why it’s remained a powerhouse in Atlanta with its loyal supporters, unparalleled creativity in costume and of course, an open bar. This was a super fun party for a very important cause.” said Vincent Martinez, 2014 Judge.
“We are thrilled with the outcome of this year’s Halloween event. The energy brought on by the guests, costumes and DJ was truly outstanding, making this event an unforgettable one. We are truly appreciative for all the support we received,” said Executive Director Charlie Frew.
