Papyrus-Recycled Greetings announced its new role as the founding member of Whole Planet Foundation’s $100,000 Fund. With this donation, Papyrus-Recycled Greetings will help alleviate poverty and improve the quality of life for thousands of people around the world.
Through small low interest loans called microloans, Whole Planet Foundation seeks to unleash the energy and creativity of every human being they work with in order to create wealth and prosperity in emerging economies. As a contributing partner, Papyrus-Recycled Greetings will be able to help connect 543 budding entrepreneurs with the means to start or expand their own home-based business and lift themselves and their families out of poverty through microcredit. In total, this donation will have an impact on the lives of more than 3,200 people.
“Entrepreneurship and individual expression sit at the core of our company,” said Sue Buchta, president of Papyrus-Recycled Greetings. “We pride ourselves on enriching the lives of others, and we’re beyond excited to be a part of what we hope is a long and prosperous journey for these new entrepreneurs.”
Papyrus-Recycled Greetings inspires personal connections with greeting cards and gift-giving accessories, and its partnership with Whole Planet Foundation was a natural fit.
“Through their tremendous donation, Papyrus-Recycled Greetings will help spark lifelong change for thousands of our neighbors in need around the world,” said Philip Sansone, president and executive director of Whole Planet Foundation. “That’s because microcredit offers thousands of people something they’ve never had before – a chance to take their future into their own hands, start or expand a home-based business and gain financial independence. We can’t thank Papyrus-Recycled Greetings enough for their support.”
