Beautiful. Confident. Independent. While a woman may not list these attributes on her resume, the clothes she wears helps prospective employers understand who she is.
Career Wardrobe is hosting an Empowering Tea and Fashion Show Sunday, November 9, 2014 to continue its mission helping women achieve professional appearances and attitudes when entering the workforce.
The annual fundraiser consists of a silent auction and fashion show featuring collections from Career Wardrobe’s fashion partners including Pretty Pretty Rebel and The Wardrobe Boutique. Actress Alysia Reiner, best known for her role as “Fig” in Orange is the New Black will also speak on the importance of women reclaiming their voices and telling their own stories.
Since 1995, Career Wardrobe has helped nearly 75,000 women in Philadelphia with the clothing, career skills, and confidence necessary to transition to work, its website states.
Adult tea tickets are available for $80 and children’s tickets for $40. Special sponsorship opportunities are also available.
