It is almost half way through October but there are still many ways for you to do your little bit during this month of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Pink Barre offers you the opportunity to make a difference every Wednesday this month including the 15th, 22nd and 29th. “On Wednesdays We Wear Pink” campaign with Pink Barre will be at their Buckhead and Emory Point locations. These two locations will donate $1 for each client who wears pink on Wednesdays to Pink Agenda. The Sandy Springs location will do the same campaign, but in support of Turning Point. Non-members who drop-in will have their fee donated. Do good for yourself and others by signing up for a class!

Sandpiper Boutique features a special necklace throughout the month of October with 100% of the proceeds going back to charity. The designer, Lisa George, is a breast cancer survivor. The special design from L George Designs is the Pink Calcite Dog Tag necklace retailing for $120 and available exclusively at Sandpiper through the end of October. Designed with pure pink calcite with a high polish and wrapped around your neck on a rhodium antique plated chain, 100% of all proceeds from sale of this product will benefit The Pink Ribbon Story Foundation, which provides a platform for those affected by breast cancer to share their stories and knowledge while building an active support community providing hope and guidance.

The Buckhead Hotel Council is partnering with Komen Atlantato launch a social media contest that honors breast cancer survivors. The “Honor a Survivor” contest invites Facebook users to share stories of breast cancer survivors for a chance to win weekly prize packages sponsored by BHC’s member hotels. The contest will run through Friday, October 24. The “Honor a Survivor” contest strives to not only empower survivors and their families, but also raise awareness around this increasingly common form of cancer. Fans and followers of Komen Atlanta and BHC members’ respective pages can enter the contest in three steps. Users must “like” and “share” Komen Atlanta’s Facebook page and then post their survivor story to Komen Atlanta’s wall. Contest participants are encouraged to invite their friends and family to participate as well. Winners will be randomly chosen every Friday throughout October. The luxury prize packages feature a selection of overnight stays at participating hotels, spa services, dining cards and access to a variety of Buckhead attractions.
