Sophia Ernst received her yoga certification directly after high school. After graduating from University in Chicago, and some travel abroad, she returned to live and work in Denver. Sophia has in interest in all things cultural and Denver is full of places to discover the arts. Denver Superhero Scavenger Hunt to Benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

It’s time to be a Superhero! Denver Urban Avengers Urban Race is encouraging you to grab your friends and participate as you favorite Superhero (or Villain!)! You’ll create a team between 2-6 (21+) and discover downtown urban Denver as you race through the scavenger hunt. Prizes will be awarded for different categories so dress to impress and get ready to use brains and brawn.

The race will be held Saturday, October 25th, starting at 11am. The race runs throughout downtown Denver in a 5mile radius. Early check in begins at 9am on the day of the race. Check in at the the race host site, Stoney’s Bar and Grill. Racers will then start out on the course and proceed to discover their inner superpower through challenges at each check point. All challenges are deigned to need magical powers that only superheroes and villains can over come! Most teams will be able to get around the course in between 2 and 4 hours.

After the race there were will be an awards ceremony where prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishing teams and the best costumes. The end of race ceremonies start at 3:30pm. Immediately following the ceremony there will be an X-ray vision dance party.

This race is helping to raise funds for Chad “Kolo” Kolakowski to fight Cystic Fibrosis through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Chad has been recognized through the CFF for his work in the community as a young professional. A quarter of each registration will go directly to fighting Cystic Fibrosis and supporting Chad in this worthy endeavor. The race is partnering with Capes 4 Kids, a program through The Hero Project that gives superhero capes to kids having to be in the hospital. They provide extra support for these kids and allow them to live out their inner superhero. This years race is sponsored by Yelp, Stoney’s Bar and Grill, and Car2Go.
