Put on a pair of sexy heels and “glam up” for the annual Glam-A-THON™ Glam Doll Strut in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, October 18, 2014. Both men and women will “strut their stuff” in fashionable, fabulous outfits to support local women battling breast cancer. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Broward Health Foundation’s breast cancer initiatives.
The event kicks off with a quarter-mile strut down “Deco Drive.” A panel of celebrity judges will award a Glam-A-THON™ crown to the team with the best team name, attire and skit. The four teams who raise the most funds will be crowned Glam Queens and Glam Kings of Glam-A-THON™ 2014. All participants will receive an official Glam-A-THON™ tote bag that can be stuffed with any food and fashion items purchased at the Vendor Village. Doggie divas are also invited to attend and compete for a Glam-A-THON™ crown.
Funds raised at the Strut will be donated to Broward Health Foundation to support local women in the fight against breast cancer. Proceeds will provide uninsured and underinsured women with early breast cancer testing and mammograms, and to provide women currently battling breast cancer with financial assistance, transportation to and from treatment, and post-surgical Medebras.
Glam-A-THON™ is a non-profit organization that supports the fight against breast cancer with “style, sass and glamorous heels.” The organization was founded by Tammy Gail after she underwent nearly two years of treatment. Gail is now a ten-year breast cancer survivor and dedicated to inspiring the community to join her in the fight against affected by breast cancer.
