Evil Dead – The Musical Plays Nashville’s Tennessee Performing Arts Center

Ok, Halloween lovers, forget your flashlight corn-mazes, spooky hayrides, and ghoul infested haunted houses.  A bone chilling , blood thirsty, and hilarious Halloween treat is rolling into Nashville in the spirit of all hallows eve.  EVIL DEAD – THE MUSICAL will descend its delightfully gory havoc upon the Tennessee Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement of three performances.

Recipient of the 2007 Dora Audience Choice Award as Toronto’s favorite show, the musical combines elements of Sam Raimi’s cult classics Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness to create a record-breaking musical comedy and truly original Halloween date night experience.
EVIL DEAD – THE MUSICAL tells the gore filled story of five college students stranded in an abandoned cabin in the woods. The group accidentally unleashes a force of pure evil that cascades upon them in a wave of bloody, bloody (did I mention bloody?) mayhem.  Ash, armed with his chainsaw of destruction, is the only hope of survival.
“Evil Dead – The Musical is the most fun you can have at the theatre. It’s a show everyone loves – even if you don’t love musicals,” said Corey Ross, president of Starvox Entertainment. “Since being called ‘the next Rocky Horror Show’ by The New York Times, the show is primed to tour, so all can enjoy the evil fun.”
“What can an audience member such as myself expect from such an evil, mayhem filled production?” you ask.  Except what you would from any great horror performance: gratuitous amounts of blood, sexy innuendo, dismembered limbs, bad jokes . . . and throw in some toe tapping tunes, because, ya know, it’s a musical . . . Oh, and a “Splatter Zone” because it’s live theater.
Take a break from your candy corn consumption and spit out that Good & Plenty (because it’s by far the worst of the Halloween treats) and secure your tickets for this Nashville Halloween event.  I’m dead serious about that “Splatter Zone.”  Orchestra level, rows AA-CC to
