“A white shirt always looks fresh, crisp and clean. It’s seasonless and feels good against the body. No woman should be without one.” Creative Director, Edward Wilkerson

Popular women’s designer brand Lafayette 148 New York is launching a really exciting campaign this Fall 2014. It will be a new project called Inspired Styles: The White Shirt Project. In this project, three influential brand ambassadors will team up with designer Edward Wilkerson to design their very own unique white shirt. Located below are some of my favorite pieces from Lafayette 148 New York’s “White Shirt Shop” collection… I expect that the shirts from The White Shirt Shop will help inspire these three iconic women to create legendary shirts of their own.

Actress Diane Farr, blogger Catherine McCord and inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant will be this year’s designers for the project. They have generously volunteered their time and energy to put in every single creative thought into this project, by creating their own version of Lafayette’s iconic Italian Stretch Cotton white shirt. The best part about this campaign is that 30% of each sale will be going towards a charity of each of the three woman’s choice that benefits young children. The shirts will be going on sale this September 2014.

Diane and Catherine have chosen the same charity: Healthy Child Healthy World, based in California, a non-profit organization with a mission to empower parents to  take immediate action and protect their children from harmful chemicals, encouraging safe environments for children. Iyanla’s chose the National Cares Mentoring Movementwhich offers mentoring, and guidance for children in need. The two positives to purchasing a white shirt from the White Shirt Project is that the shirts are unique and are bound to be extremely stylish and also comfortable, and that the proceeds will be going towards helping children.
