Jeanie Linders’ critically acclaimed Menopause the Musical will soon be in Denver. Unlike other shows, this one is special; it will only be in town for one day. There will be two opportunities to attend the show. Shows will start promptly at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at The Buell Theater on Saturday, August 16.
Menopause the Musical has a story that revolves around, you guessed it—the change. Jeanie Linders came up with the idea for the play while going through her own menopause hot flashes and enjoying a glass of wine. The show is a comedy and shines a joyous, almost inspirational light on the nuances and experiences of a woman preparing for and going through the various stages of menopause. The musical parodies plenty of hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, making the show even more enjoyable.
The show has garnered a great deal of success, with a running production time of thirteen years. It is still performed nightly at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Denver now has a chance to get a little taste of Vegas and with a good story in just a couple of weeks.
