Tiara Williams is a writer, college student, and lover of life. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She loves this city and enjoys exploring new places and things about it. She also enjoys traveling, art, music, and jewelry designing on her spare time. She is currently planning her wedding to her longtime boyfriend of over eight years. The 2014 Women Veterans Rock Summer Retreat

Women Veterans Rock  is coming to Chestnut Hill College this weekend for a awesome summer retreat. The Women Veterans Rock Summer Retreat goal for this year is to aid in Building Bold & Bright Futures for Women Veterans.  Chairman Deborah Harmon Pugh encourages women veterans, active duty service women, reservists, national Guard,  military spouses and service providers to attend.  This event will show that military women are  succeeding in the business world around us and encourage and help others do the same. A lot of military women are seeking challenging and engaging post-military career options and this retreat hopes to encourage and open new pathways in there there life.

Participants will have the opportunity of working with some of the best professional career coaches, expert panelists and hands-on workshop leaders in the region.  Everyone will also hear from The Vicki Curtis Eastern PA State President, Councilwoman Cindy Bass, President of ICF Philadelphia Elizabeth Hecthman and a Jazz Performance from Paula Johns. The retreat will include round tables that will discuss creating their own 6 month Personal Action Plans aimed at putting them on pathways. Workshop topics will include: The Executive Coaching Clinic;  Bold Career Choices For Today’s Military Women; Troops To Teachers – Proud To Serve Again;  Bright Futures in Small & Nonprofit Business Ownership; Boldly Choosing Community Leadership & Future Civic Engagement.

After the workshops are complete everyone will enjoy the Leaders & Legends Luncheon  during that time Women Veterans Rock will present the accomplishments and contributions of 25 amazing women veterans and advocates for women veterans from all around the region as The 2014 Leaders & LegendsBy the end of the this one day retreat attendees will feel prompted to transition from military life to civilian life; from employment to small business ownership; from advocate to nonprofit executive; and, from community commissioner to elected official.
