The 8th Annual Kelley for Ellie Fashion Show was held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza on Monday, June 16, 2014.  The event included a cocktail reception, a live auction, speeches from survivors of breast cancer, and a fashion show with WCVB-TV Channel 5 newswomen modeling summer styles from Port & Company and hairstyles by Charles David Salon & Spa.

The Kelley for Ellie fashion show was hosted by Kelley Tuthill, a Channel 5 Newswoman and breast cancer survivor, and Susan Wornick, a former Channel 5 newswoman.  Kelley Tuthill explained how she got involved during her speech at the beginning of the evening. “This event was a mission for me.  What a gift that is when you’re at the your darkest point and can look beyond yourself to help other people.”  The event is estimated to raise over $100,000 for the Ellie Fund, a not for profit organization focused on helping patients and families battling breast cancer through aid such as transportation, free meals, childcare, etc.  The Ellie fund was founded in 1995 by two brothers who wanted to honor their mother and her struggle against breast cancer.
