Swarovski Partners With CFDA On “Lucky 13” Objets d’Art Auction Created By 9 Designers To Benefit Free Arts NYC

The world’s leading producer of precisely-cut crystal for fashion, jewelry and everything in between, Swarovski, just celebrated their 13th year of partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards with a charitable auction early last week. Swarovski appointed the 9 designers nominated for a Swarovski award for “Emerging Talent” to design an item to benefit Free Arts NYC, to be auctioned online using the theme “Lucky 13″.

This auction is to celebrate the significant milestone that Swarovski has made so far and to also showcast Swarovski’s support to the world of fashion and the arts. All proceeds from the auction will be donated towards Free Arts NYC, a non-profit organization that works with all ages of youth (from kindergarten to highschool) and provides under-served children with educational arts and mentoring programs to help build their self-confidence. The auction closed last night just before the CFDA Awards ceremony and each piece sold for over thousands of dollars. Here are the beautiful one-of-a-kind crystal objets d’art that were sold at the auction:

Although every single one-of-a-kind piece is without a doubt astonishing, unique and dazzling, there could only be one winner for each of the three Swarovski categories. The Swarovski Womenswear Award went to Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters for “Creatures of the Wind”. The Swarovski Accessories Award went to Irene Neuwirth for her “Skateboard”, and the Swarovski Menswear Award went to Tim Coppens for his “Crystal Robots”
