As warm weather approaches, now is the perfect time to transition our wardrobes to fit the needs of summer. It is also the perfect time to refresh our locks by sprucing up dead ends or chopping a few inches off to compliment the carefree tone of summer.
If you’ve been in need of a haircut, now is the best time because Hair Cuttery is partnering with National Network to End Domestic Violence to offer free haircuts to women living in domestic violence shelters in their local community for every adult who purchases a haircut on May 5th or 6th, 2014. By providing this service to domestic abuse victims, they are able to boost confidence in these women and enable them to get back on their feet.
This will be the 15th year that Hair Cuttery’s Share-a-Haircut has been able to give back and benefit three-quarters of a million people. “Through our Share-a-Haircut program, more than 725,000 free haircut certificates have been donated to children in need over the years,” said Dennis Ratner, Founder and CEO of Hair Cuttery. The Salon chain is the largest family owned and operated chain of hair salons in the country, with nearly 900 locations on the East Coast, New England and the Midwest. They have also established a long-standing philanthropic history by supporting local and national causes and charities including Dress for Success, American Cancer Society, Special Olympics and more.
