On Thursday, April 17th, Lenox Hill Hospital’s Auxiliary hosted Relationships, Friendships and Intimacy: The Mind/Body Connection as the focus of their 16th annual Healthy Give & Take Luncheon at the Metropolitan Club. The event drew together over 200 people who heard lively discussions on important topics in women’s healthy and were able to engage in a lively “give & take” with the speakers.

The focus was on relationships and the affect that they have on our minds and bodies. The panel of experts provded insights and practical advice on the emotional and physical impact of relationships on our health at every stage of our lives. Jane Hanson, Emmy award-winning television journalist and media coach, moderated a panel of Lenox Hill Hospital physicians, including Suzanne R. Steinbaum, MD, Director, Women’s Hearth Health, The Heart & Vascular Institute,; Jennifer Wu, MD, Department of Gynecology; and Elizabeth Messina, PhD, Department of Psychiatry. Prominent Wall Street Journal columnist on relationships, Elizabeth Bernstein, also gave a speech.

Proceeds from the Healthy Give & Take will support a wide array of Auxiliary programs that promote the hospital’s unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of patients, staff and community.
