Kelly Fay is the Nashville Editor for Miss A. She is a firm believer that life wouldn’t be as enjoyable without a steaming fresh cup of coffee early in the morning, sipped from a beautifully detailed-painted mug. She values the small but beautiful things in life. She adores travel, even if it is to the local coffee shop; She lives for laughter with a friend, even if it is at my expense; and she loves a challenge, even if she doesn't come out a winner. She grew up and lived in beautiful sunny California where her love for the outdoors was sparked at an early age. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Humboldt State in Kinesiology with an emphasis in teaching/coaching. Led by her inner-gypsy, upon graduation she traveled and lived in many different places. She called the Alaskan darkness home during the winter of ‘08, experienced” tea time” and” the tube” while living in London, and resided in the sandy dunes of Newport Beach, California for nearly two years. She moved to Nashville to experience the simplicity of the South while still engaging in city life. Paint your nails for a cause this Spring! Taylor Gift Foundation has launched a campaign to paint the world blue. The foundation in a non-profit organization whose “mission is to ‘Regift Life, Renew Health and Restore Families’ by increasing official organ donor registries.” Founders, Todd and Tara Storch, started the foundation after losing their 13-year-old daughter, Taylor, to a ski accident in 2010. OPI has jumped on board in support of the cause, officially naming the Taylor-inspired color, “Taylor Blue.” Tara Storch recalls the moment that sparked the name for the popular color, “Taylor had the most beautiful eyes in a gorgeous blue and always got compliments on them, even as a baby. Only a week before the accident, she said to me, ‘Mom, I love the color of my eyes. That’s the color I want for my bridesmaid’s dresses some day.’ From that point on, that color was precious to us, and there was no question the color of the nail polish would be Taylor Blue.” Opi’s support has not only been beneficial to aylor’s cause but also to Mother Nature. OPI respects the environment and its inhabitants by never testing on animals, reducing the use of raw materials and introducing “greener” products while promoting active recycling. Jump on board and paint it forward with “Taylor Blue!”
