Miss A Columnist

Natasha Kugel is currently living in the bustling city of Washington, DC where she enjoys the local parks with her two dogs and significant other. Having been raised all over the world by military parents Natasha grew up with an innate curiosity for everything new and different. Her favorite thing to do is to visit all the local museums, which DC has an abundance of. If Natasha can’t do that then a good movie with a cup of hot chocolate does the trick! She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Virginia Commonwealth University where she also helped found the Alpha Kappa chapter of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority. Still following her passion of acting and fashion, Natasha continues to audition for local projects and started her own blog named Two Tails One Closet honoring her two rambunctious pets, Louie and Zeus. She also hopes that one day she can start her own charity to support animal rights to give back to all the pets in her life that gave so much love without asking any in return.

STK and Intermix came together on Wednesday night to celebrate the new STK Washington, DC location that will be opening on April 25, 2014 near Dupont Circle with the event UnmiSTKable hosted by Kelly Collis, Fran Holuba, Megan Salvaggio and Anchyi Wei. For two hours guests could browse the bohemian chic style of Intermix’s clothing and accesories while dancing to the mixture of 90s and now music, compliments of DJ Charity.

Laurent Ellison, Marketing Manager of STK DC, shared her excitement by saying, “We are thrilled to partner with Intermix to bring STK’s high-energy vibe to life in advance of our Grand Opening. Intermix is the perfect stylish setting for STK to debut its signature cocktails, bites and sounds to the local fashion and foodie crowd.”

Sous Chef Michael Robley for STK DC was in attendance and meticulously put together the hors d’oeuvre being served that night. In conversation, he explained that it was a tuna tartare with avocado and taro root chip served in a tāngchí spoon. The bite simply melted in your mouth with delicate flavors and its combination of smooth and crunchy texture. It was complimented by two cocktails, the Cucumber Stiletto and Cherry Cosmo.

During the event, not only could you enjoy the delicious food and drinks as well as covet the luxurious fashion but ten percent of the proceeds went to support the amazing organization UNICEF. Intermix host Megan Salvaggio had suggested the idea during the early planning stages of UnmiSTKable. “I have been a supporter of UNICEF since December of 2013. Since, I have been and am involved in hosting events to help get UNICEF ‘s presence better known in the DC metropolitan area. I am extremely passionate about the organization and am excited to become a lot more involved in the 2014 year. The event is amazing and I love helping ladies shop while they enjoy the cocktails and small bites that STK shared. I am really excited for the opening.”
