On Saturday, March 29, 2014, join the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance as they present the Shaken, Not Stirred Gala at Peachtree DeKalb Airport. The event, sponsored by Northside Hospital, will help raise awareness and educate the citizens of Atlanta on the symptoms and treatment of ovarian cancer.
The evening begins with a presentation by Kroger and will be followed by a silent auction and cocktails. Dinner will be provided by Capital Grille Dunwoody. Joe Gransden and his band will round out the evening, providing jazz and a reason to get up and dance. Attendees will also enjoy casino games and a live auction, all hosted by Christine Pullara, host of Atlanta and Company.
Ovarian cancer ranks as the fifth cause of cancer death in women. In her lifetime, a woman has a 1 in 72 chance of contracting ovarian cancer and a 1 in 100 chance that the disease will be fatal. Sadly, there is no way to predict who will get ovarian cancer, which is why the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance works so diligently to raise awareness and education.
So spend a Saturday night dancing, mingling, and bidding on some excellent pieces – it’s all for a good cause.
