Spend an evening celebrating some of Baltimore’s most talented local musicians at the 1st All Stars Edition of the annual Rock & Soul Baltimore: Live Music Showcase. Started in 2011 by HeidnSeek Entertainment, Rock & Soul aims to spotlight hometown artists and allow them to network and gain exposure in the community. This year, five of Rock & Soul’s most celebrated alums will come together to perform during an all-inclusive evening of food, drink, and fun, hosted in conjunction with Social Expressions. Featured acts include Nelly’s Echo (who recently appeared on The Voice), Jae Jin, Shelby Blondell, Bravenoise, and Julian Roso with Rhyan Vargas. The musical evening will be complemented by cocktails, gourmet grilled cheese bar, breakfast for dinner, and a made-to-order pie bar by Chef’s Expressions. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

The 14th Annual Casey Cares Foundation Gala will celebrate a vintage carnival theme this year, complete with a seated dinner, open bar, dancing, and both live and silent auctions! Local celebrities, business leaders, and Ringmasters Reagan Warfield from the MIX Morning Show and Lynette Charles of WMAR-TV will turn out to support the foundation in its mission to support critically ill children and their families. Aware that the medical costs of treatment often leave little in the way of disposable income, Casey Cares aims to provide continual uplifting programs for families, such as a pizza and movie night or tickets to an Orioles game.

An all-star band, including Richie Supa of Aerosmith, Ricky Byrd who played with Joan Jett, Christine Ohlman of the SNL Band, Liberty Devitto who played with Billy Joel, Kasim Sulton who played with Todd Rundgren, and Jeff Kazee, who played with Bon Jovi, will perform one night only to benefit The IMPACT Society. Focused on prevention education for middle and high school students, the non-profit organization advocates the power of music and the arts to keep teens and young adults from a culture of bullying, substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, and teenage suicide. VIP attendees will have the opportunity to not only hear these rockstars perform, but meet and greet the musicians, all of whom are in recovery or support recovery, prior to the show.
