Sandy Axelrod is a Chef and has a Grand Diplome from “le Cordon Bleu” and more than 40 years experience in the kitchen. Sandy, her husband Steve and their son Brian have been living in Wellington, Florida for more than 28 years. She was owner & Executive Chef of Affairs to Remember Catering for almost 18 years with events such as the Grand Opening of Saks Fifth Avenue at the Gardens Mall, opening parties at The Mall at Wellington Green, SunFest, opening season at International Polo and assorted private parties throughout South Florida to her credit. She is also in “Who’s Who in America” acknowledging her expertise as a caterer and party planner. Now, in addition to writing a blog about food, restaurants, travel & life experiences at Food & Fond Memories,
and writing two cookbooks, she teaches private hands-on cooking classes.

On Sunday, March 16, 2014 guests came to the Annual Fete Cheval Etoile, to benefit the Equus Foundation, to party. The evening began with an music, open bar and hors d’oeuvre, bidding on Silent Auction items and viewing pictures of this years recent inductees to the Horse Stars Hall of Fame in the Gallery at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. The Horse Stars Hall of Fame celebrates the extraordinary talent of horses and the powerful and magical bond between horses and people. At 8 pm everyone went into the Wellington Club to enjoy the lavish food stations with delights from Asia, Mexico, Italy and France. Next came spellbinding entertainment provided by American Vaulting Association Olympic-level Friendship Team. Guests were enthralled by the one of a kind International Vaulting Exhibition held under the lights in the International Arena. The evening ended with a couple of hours of dancing back in the Gallery.
