Bobbi Brown has not only built a cosmetic empire, but her philanthropic efforts have made her a truly inspiring female role model to the community. Bobbi first created the Pretty Powerful Campaign in 2013, which funds global non-profit organizations whose missions are to provide women and girls with the education and resources to be their best.

A special pink limited edition tube of Bobbi Brown’s best-seller ‘Everything Mascara‘ has launched with 100% proceeds benefiting Girl Rising. This campaign’s mission is to educate girls and to provide resources to girl-empowerment programs in the developing world. Donations are also accepted in substitution for buying a Pretty Powerful Mascara and each dollar counts towards the cause. This mascara will be available from now until September 9th, 2014 in-store and online. Additionally, if you plan to purchase this mascara on Bobbi’s website, you will receive free shipping.

Did you know:

  • 65 million girls around the world do not attend school.
  • Two-thirds of the 792 million illiterate adults in the world are female.
  • 14 million girls under 18 will be married this year. That’s 38 thousand today – or 13 girls in the last 30 seconds. When girls marry, their education almost always comes to an end.*
Girl Rising’s objective is to break the cycle of poverty in just one generation by providing girls around the world with the education they so desperately deserve the chance to have. The campaign believes that an educated girl can empower herself, use her education to get her family out of poverty, contribute to making her community a prosperous one, and ultimately, change her country. The Girl Rising movement believes that with one extra year of education, a female can earn at least an incredible 20% more as an adult. Academy Award-nominated director, Richard E. Robbins, directed the moving feature film based around this project called “Girl Rising,” which can be viewed here. The film depicts nine memorable girls around the world, who face many trials that hinder them from receiving an education.

girls rising bobbi brownThis mascara is one of my personal favorites as it is an all-in-one formula which lengthens, thickens, and defines lashes with no hints of smudging and clumping. It truly is a perfect go-to option if you are looking for a mascara that does it all. The mascara is also specially formulated to strengthen and condition lashes, so now you can have healthy, voluptuous lashes, while supporting an amazing cause and spread Girl Rising’s incredibly crucial message to society: “Educate Girls. Change the World.”
