Beauty Booked Launch Event At Tootsie’s In Dallas With V Spa And Pouf Salon

The modern, digitally savvy woman is always connected, even when she’s on the go.  Beauty Booked founders Ritika Gill and Hilary Hutcheson know what it’s like for the girl who has everything, including a corner office: as former brand managers for L’Oreal, Gill and Hutcheson found themselves struggling to fit salon and spa appointments into their busy schedules.  They noticed that, although services from airline flights to pizza delivery can be booked online, salons and spas still required the traditional phone call and spot on the waiting list.  If you needed to make a morning meeting and an evening flight, but you desperately needed a trim and a fresh manicure, your options were limited to calling around, frantically searching for a salon with an open spot.

Beauty Booked, Gill and Hutcheson’s answer to this conundrum, eliminates the need to call around and rework your schedule around salon & spa treatments: on beautybooked.com, beau monde belles can look up local salons and book appointments with the click of a mouse.

New York City-based Gill and Hutcheson had their business plan together within a few months.  With funding from the New York Angels, a prominent organization that helps fund and mentor young businesses, and other high profile investors, Beauty Booked was launched to great acclaim last year.  However, until now, the service was only available to NYC denizens.  When Gill and Hutcheson looked to expand their popular service, they settled on Dallas as the site’s newest market. The official launch of Beauty Booked Dallas was feted Thursday night at Tootsie’s boutique on Preston Road.  Sipping champagne and nibbling hors d’oeuvres, the fashionable set got a sampling of all that Beauty Booked’s affiliate salons & spas have to offer.  With manicures & massages provided by V Spa and hairstyling by Pouf Salon, the evening was all about beauty and relaxation.  Check out our photos of the evening!
