There is no denying that Denver loves our professional sports league so if you’ve missed this year’s Mile High Dreams Gala at the Pepsi Center then make your way to Punch Bowl Social for the Denver Nuggets social on March 6th. An evening of ping pong, bowling, shuffleboard, skee ball and great food & drinks, attendees will have a chance to interact with the Denver Nuggets players, coaches, alumni, dancers and Super Mascot Rocky, while raising funds for Kroenke Sports Charities.
Kroenke Sports Charities is committed to improving lives through the spirit and power of sports. They strive to serve the Denver community through education, health and fitness initiatives, athletic programs, and direct aid with the particular purpose of helping families, children, veterans, and the disabled.
In the past, the Denver Nuggets have hosted the Nuggets Skills Challenge where children state-wide test their dribbling, passing and shooting skills to win an opportunity to compete in the Nuggets Skills Challenge before a Nuggets game. Nuggets Head Athletic Trainer Jim Gillen also created a program called Excellence in High School Athletic Training where Kroenke Sports Charities along with other notable sponsors awarded a number of Colorado and Wyoming high schools for dedication to their school’s athletic training programs. Last year the program awarded over $12,000 to school programs and individual trainers in support of training room improvements, supplies and continuing education.
