An Edible Evening 2014 To Benefit Edible Schoolyard New Orleans

On Thursday, March 24, An Edible Evening 2014 will be held at Green Charter School in Uptown. Now in its fifth year, the event will benefit the programming and educational efforts of Edible Schoolyard New Orleans.

The Patron Party will kick off at 6p.m. with the main celebration from 7-10p.m. Attendees will enjoy live music and a silent auction, as well as dishes from over thirty local restaurants and caterers. This year’s culinary contributors include Atchafalaya, Good Eggs, Brigsten’s, High Hat, and Cafe Hope’s Green Dot Cafe.

Edible Schoolyard New Orleans is dedicated to providing “comprehensive food education” that improves the lives of young people, their families, and the larger community. Ongoing efforts include the creation and maintenance of organic gardens, promotion of seasonal cooking, and delivery of general wellness education.
