Miss A Columnist

Sommer Childress shifted her focus away from film – a one hit wonder [her claim to minimal fame is the Oscar nominated and Emmy winning 1997 documentary “Waco: The Rules of Engagement,” which examined the 1993 Texas tragedy] she can take a hint; one hit a decade does not for a career make – and started writing. Since 2006 she has penned several screenplays – a couple for hire, an unsold romantic comedy – served as associate editor of UL Magazine and was editor of and writer for www.WestsideToday.com until September 2013. She pens a monthly column for Prodijee Magazine and shares her thoughts on her website, www.PissantProd.com .

Autism Speaks will host its 12th annual Los Angles 5K Walk and Resource Fair on Saturday, April 26, 2014 8:00am-1:00pm at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Walk Now for Autism Speaks bills itself as a family event and is the organization’s biggest fundraiser with walks taking place across the country throughout the winter and spring.
Every 11 minutes, another family’s lives are altered by a diagnosis of autism.  Autism Speaks hopes to stop this scourge through its research efforts, which are supported by the funds raised by walkers and their supporters.
