Golf meets fashion on Friday, March 7, at the World Golf Championships- Cadillac Championship tournament held at Trump National Doral. Guests are invited to watch the Carolina Herrera Spring 2014 collection in a runway fashion show hosted by Ivanka Trump. Music before and after the fashion show will be provided by DJ Irie, official DJ of the Miami Heat.

“We are thrilled to partner with Carolina Herrera for ‘Fashion Friday,’ as the brand of elegance, sophistication and modern glamour align perfectly with the new direction of the Cadillac Championship,” said Butch Buchholz, General Chairman of the Cadillac Championship.

Venezuelean-American fashion designer Herrera has been turning heads with her personal and runway styles since her  first collection debuted in 1981. For her Spring 2014 collection, Herrera drew inspiration from Venezuelan artists, Jesús Rafael Soto and Carlos Cruz-Diez. The collection consists of unique line patterns and abstact geometry layered together, a combination that results in a dynamic motion when the pieces are brought to life on the runway.

“It’s about Kinetic Art,” she explained. “It’s eye-popping!”

In addition to the glamorous fashion show, “Fashion Friday,” will include fan contests, social media engagement and appearances by Ivanka Trump, the reigning Miss Universe, Gabriela Isler, and select cast members from Bravo’s Real Housewives series.

Through Tickets Fore Charity (TFC), a unique fundraising initiative designed to raise funds for local non-profit organizations, the WGC-Cadillac Championship is providing non-profit organizations the ability to promote tournament ticket sales and to directly benefit from these sales. One-hundred percent of the net proceeds will benefit the selling organization, allowing guests to support their respective organizations. Please click here for more information.

The WGC-Cadillac Championship also benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County and The First Tee of Miami. The First Tee, an initiative of the World Golf Foundation, provides young people with educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through golf.
