“My parents always told me everyones in the same boat, “said Tory Burch.” You just have to present yourself well.” Celebrating it’s ten year anniversary, Tory Burch is one of the most influential design labels on the market today. A designer who is a living example of what her brand stands for (easy, breezy, casual socialite) she’s been creating women’s ready-to-wear clothing for the masses since 2004. For Fall 2014 , she brought a London Mod-70’s twist to her conservative and widely adapted designs. Knee-highs and thigh-highs, mixed tapestry prints, collars and cuffs, it’s a modern twist on an iconic era brought to you by the designer to make them accessible for everyday looks and easy-ish on the pocketbooks.
Making a Difference:
In 2009, the designer launched the Tory Burch Foundation. A non-profit institution whose main goal is to enable female entrepreneurs through micro finance loans, mentoring programs, and a chance to network with successful business owners. As the designer puts it, “One of my greatest talents is recognizing talent in others and giving them the forum to shine.”
