Rishi Tea Partners With Whole Foods Market’s Whole Planet Foundation

From the comforting sip of hot tea, to the health benefits, you don’t have to be an expert to read the tea leaves, this is a hot trend. Rishi Tea company believes in a great cup of tea but also in giving back.

The company lives its business model of social responsibility through active community participation, fair trade practices and commitment to environmental causes, just to name a few. Thousands of miles are traveled each year to meet with skilled tea artisans. This allows for true authenticity to a very old tradition, which also ensures the highest quality experience for the taster.

Now, Rishi Tea is partnering with Whole Planet Foundation to help combat poverty. Rishi Tea is honored to join the Supplier Alliance, committing $50,000 to Whole Planet Foundation for microcredit loans in impoverished communities. This prosperity campaign starts today, February 19, 2014. The goal is to raise 7,000,000 which would equate to 40,000 loans impacting 250,000 people around the world.
