Miss A Columnist

Megan Davison is the Chicago Editor for Miss A. She is a 23 year old living on the south side of Chicago. Megan recently moved to Chicago from the East Coast after having graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in May 2012. During her time in D.C. she received her bachelor’s in Anthropology and Women’s Studies. Megan is currently serving as a Lasallian Volunteer, working in fundraising and communications for the Christian Brothers of the Midwest. She lives in community with 8 Christian Brothers and two volunteers. Megan loves coaching and tutoring the students of San Miguel Middle School in Back of the Yards.

Currently, Megan writes and explores the city of Chicago as much as she can! She has found that the best way to do that is running! Whether it’s up Michigan Avenue towards the Loop, over to Bridgeport, or down to the lakefront; running is the best way to take in the city and get a little workout in. Megan loves thrift shopping all over the city and scoring new finds at unique stores. While she has enjoyed deep-dish pizza, she still loves her thin crust! She loves coffee, reading the personal journal section of The Wall Street Journal.

ParTEA With A Purpose To Benefit Gilda’s Club Chicago

On Wednesday, January 22, join the festivTEAS at the Chicago Cultural Center from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.  to celebrate the chariTEA partnership between Argo Tea and Gilda’s Club Chicago. Gilda’s Club Chicago is a community where those who have been touched by cancer, where men, women and children diagnosed with cancer can feel supported by their community. Their namesake is from Gilda Radner, one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live who passed away in 1989 from ovarian cancer.

At the ParTEA, guests will be able to enjoy live music, drink marTEAnis, eat hors d’oeuvres, and have the chance to win some amazing raffle prizes! The event is sponsored by Michigan Avenue Magazine and Skinny Girl Cocktails & Wine. The Host ComitTEA is comprised of fabulous Chicagoans, including Marco Foster, Suzanne Kopulos, Andrew “Finnigan” Hart, Monika Dixon, James Goeke, Jena Gambaccini, Benjamin Newby, and Alexis Cozzini.
